About me
Hi, my name is Jainay Costa and I am a film student at Humber College obtaining a bachelor's degree in film and media production.
While in school I have read more than 100 books within the last 6 months. Is that a lot? Yes, but what can I say when I pick up a book it's almost impossible for me to put it down. I have read books from lovely swoon-worthy rom-com, to books that have you on the edge of your seat biting your nails thrillers, to witnessing wars between wizards, warlocks, gods, and mythical creatures alike. I become immersed in its unique world and am able to watch it play out like a movie in my head which has led me to where I am now. Besides creating my own scripts, I work closely with authors of short stories, novels, or film studios to adapt their universes into a script, beat sheet, and pitch ready for our screens.

Horror and Thriller
This is a script I collaborated on with another writer for a studio production. The studio gave us the general premise for the script and what action they wanted to take place. They also gave us very strict parameters such as a script no longer than two pages.

*These numbers are not fixed and are base line fees per project. Depending on the project these numbers are susceptible to change*
Small project:
For smaller projects such as doing a second pass of a script, short story adaptations, and student films price range will be between $1,000- $24,000.
Large project
For larger projects such as adapting a novel or series into a screenplay, the range will be from $24,000 - $75,000.
Collaborative project:
Work in which I am asked to work alongside a client to assist in the brainstorming and further development of a project will result in a larger fee with additional credits given in the film. Collaborative projects can range from $1,000 - $100,000 depending on the project.
